I have planted the Fordhook Giant Swiss Chard, two successive seasons. I find it needs no urging to make it grow larger than it states in the catalog. The leafy portion invariably measures fourteen inches in width and stands more than three feet high
It cooks up good and makes fine greens. The stalks when cut up, cooked and creamed as asparagas makes a fine supper dish. Can them and they are equally good in winter.

The Radio peas are earlier and I like the flavor of them better than any other kind, they are so much sweeter.
