For Prize Contest

My garden turned out a grand success. I had more vegetables than [[I needed?]].

The "Golden Bantam corn was very nice indeed, nice yellow grains; best I ever ate, and my friends and I all admired the beautiful flowers, and watermelons were simply wonderful.

The cabbage was in such big heads, I had enough from one head for two meals and five in a family.
