What Burpee's Seeds have Done for Me.

When I was suddenly left a widow with two small daughters to support I appraised the occupations by which I might earn a livelihood for myself and family on my little five acre house in the country.
 
My inherent love of mother earth and plant life helped me in my decision to raise vegetable and flower plants to sell.

Selecting Burpee's seeds I sent for a small amount at first. The trial proved successful and each year witnessed my increasing business until my custom extended through our county and into our bordering State - Pennsylvania.

Always I would hear, "Your plants ^[[100]] produce such good results." It was very gratifying and equally attributed by me to the excellent quality of Burpee's seeds and to my personal attention to every detail of their growth. 

When increasing years necessitated relinquishing gardening as a business, I continued on a smaller scale for pleasure and home use. Then the cultivation of one or more of Burpee's [[underline]]new[[/underline]] vegetables became a joy in anticipation from
