One Thousand Dollars

You can take time to think over what benefits you received from Burpee's Seeds, as the contest does not close until August 15, 1924. It may have been pleasure or profit that you have gained. It may have been that by watching life develop in your garden you have gained an insight into the wonders of nature. Or there may be other things that Burpee's Seeds have done for you. Talk to your neighbors about it. After you have given careful thought to everything write us a letter of not more than 200 words. The winner of the first prize will therefore be paid more than $1.00 for each word in the letter.

Rules of the Contest

The letter must be headed "For Prize Contest" and must contain no other matter whatever, although it may be enclosed in the same envelope with another letter or order. The contest closes August 15, 1924.

All letters in the competition will be filed until August 15, 1924, and the awards will be made and the prizes paid as soon as the judges can come to a decision.

No letter must contain more than 200 words.

Please write plainly and be sure that your complete name and address are given.

Not more than one prize will be awarded to any one contestant.

The competition is open to all—Burpee customers old and new-excepting only our own employees and their families.
