[[underline]] MY SUCCESS WITH BURPEE SEEDS. [[/underline]]

In Spring time of last year at seventy years of age came ambition to achieve something noteworthy to celebrate the occasion. Being a lover of nature deeply interested in culture of plant life, I naturally aspired to achievement in that line.

The goal of ambition was to raise one thousand shelled quarts of lima beans on one third of an acre of land. This was to be partly with Burpee seed, but perverse Nature did not give proper proportion of moisture and sunshine and crop reached only five hundred quarts. This Spring came renewed ambition to raise the thousand quarts of limas and exclusively with Burpee seed, and I chose the famous brands of "Sunnybrook Special", "Giant-podded", "King of the Garden" pole beans, and "Fordhook" and "Burpee's Improved Bush".

Again Nature has been perverse. Spring planting time being much delayed with cold wet soil followed by dry June and July, yet by assiduous cultivation the lima bean vineyard now stands in green luxuriant foliage with fast forming pod production, giving assurance for full one thousand quarts of shelled limas.

I shall attribute the triumph above all to the reliable productive virtue of the famous Burpee seed.

Yours in congratulation,
