I owned an old house sadly in need of repair; I wanted to sell and buy one I had always wanted, but did not have the money to fix it and could not sell it as it was. One day in looking at some seed catalog's I decided I would sell Aster plants, I sent to Burpee's for the seed, 1/4 oz. of each color, sowed it outdoors. When the trees were leaving out the plants were so strong and thrifty, people came from all over to buy them (I advertised) I set so many myself that I had cut Asters to sell, they were wonderful, everyone wanted them, I set each color seperate so they showed up well, they averaged 5 in. across with stems 20 in. long. I got the [[Crego's?]] and the lavender, white and shell pink, were in great demand for funeral pieces.
