For Prize Contest.

Early in August of 1923, I had a plot of land measuring 15 x 40 metros forked up and manured lining it off into beds of about 7 x 3 feet and walks between. I ordered a $1.00 seeds from Burpees' seeds arrived and were planted early in October I had excellent wether, Seeds were sowed in separate nurseries, the cabbages planted out in the beds at once. Acting on the advice given by the Burpee house as to spacing etc. To my pleasure I had such luscious cucumbers tomatoes in abundance. I keep my home of 10 persons supplied constantly with cabbages, beans, cauliflower, and onions. My vegetable garden is the pride of the home. I have both pleasure and profit, pleasure in being able at all times, to pick choose and refuse among the varieties I grow, and profit not only financially; but it has afforded me a wider appreciation of the wonders of God's creative skill along with my cooperation
