As a lad, Burpee's catalogue gave me a dream garden; Burpee's seeds the satisfying reality.

Through twenty-five years, Burpee's seeds have supplied the finest flowers and vegetables and taught me the superior worth of "seeds that grow."

In three states, my Burpee's garden has been admired by neighbors, helped to keep me in health, introduced me to hours of happiness, taking me out mornings and evenings under dawn and sunset skies to the caroling of feathered choirs - catbird, cardinal, thrush and robin, given me interesting acquaintance with that valuable assistant gardener, the toad, and with feathered friends who dine on insect pests seasoned with occasional pods of peas or juicy berries, stimulated interest in plant and insect habits, deepened my appreciation of rain and sunshine, of Nature's gifts and laws of giving, creating sense of friendship with her and of partnership with a greater Friend.

Burpee's seeds have provided pleasant winter evenings with the catalogue, picturing gardens to be, and suggested a plan for pleasant, perhaps profitable employment when retirement comes.

"The Man in the Garden" is one of my best sermons. Many a sermonic illustration has come from Burpee's garden.

A real record, this, for Burpee's seeds.
