What Burpee's Seeds Have Done for Me

Marion N.Y. Aug 7 1924

W. Atlee Burpee Co.
Seed Growers Philadelphia Pa.

Gentlemen

I take pleasure in saying that the Chantenay carrot seed which I purchased from your firm in 1923 gave great satisfaction both as to quality and quantity harvesting 35232 lbs of good marketable carrots and receiving $440.40 for them, the same field producing 23 bushels of small and cracked carrots, which made excellent horse feed this field measures 543/1000 of an acre, seed was sown May 5, finished harvesting Sept 18, 1923, used 1/2 ton 2-8-10 fertilizer plants were thinned to about 2 inches apart on the row, rows 14 inches apart these carrots were not sown and cared for with an idea of taking part in a prize contest, this same field was in carrots in 1922, it is a wonderful thing to watch nature do her part. but nature cannot do wonders unless it has something to work with, in this case it was W. Atlee Burpee Co's Chantenay Carrot seed

Yours Truly
