SIMS, MANAGER ARMOUR AND WARWICK BLVDS. Kansas City, Mo. [[/preprinted]] December 7, 1941 Dear Germain, I came here from Omaha for our 8th anniversary. The Memling is the one thing uppermost in everyone's mind; but there are no funds at present. I return to Omaha on Tuesday, and expect to start East the latter part of next week, stopping at Cincinnati. I shall write them before going there. The Omaha show is splendid; but it is too early to know what the Board will decide to gun for, or how much they will buy. The Stotesbury Raeburn, "Mrs. Hay" was finally purchased; so that settles the English school for a long time to come. I'll write you later on. I see nothing to be gained by you coming out at this time. No private collectors whatever. Best Regards, [Signature] Harold
