She wears a white fichu around her hair which is tied at the nape of her neck, and is clad in a red dress with a transparent lace collar. French school of the 18th century. This portrait, revealing an intimate pose, represents the person turned three-quarters to the right, the face completely animated by a smile. One can easily recognize in him, Fragonard's intimate friend whom he constantly saw and who posed for the celebrated picture in the Salle Lacaze at the Louvre, entitled, "La Musique".
