Aug 22. A warm pleasant day. Hunted & set traps all forenoon. Got a Cynomys ludov. & some gophers & 3 mice - a Hesperomys, a mus musculus, & a Zapus. 
Caught a big cat.
Killed a Marsh Hawk & one T. verticalis
Set traps over. Got back at 12:30. In P.M., skinned 4 gophers, a Prairie Dog, Rabit, & Zapus. 
Stuffed the gophers, mouse & six other gophers that I had skinned before. Skinned 7 things & stuffed 11, put a gopher in alcohol & stuffed a Burrowing Owl. Got done at 9 P.M. & then had to catalogue them. 
It is now 10:30 & I am about done for today.
