July 10 Caught 3 Onychomys & three Dipodops & a Hesperomys l. sonoriensis.

Rained in night.

Made skins, hunted, & set traps.

A cool day.

" [[ditto for: July]] Caught 2 Hesperomys & 2 Dipodops. & killed a Prairie Dog & some birds. Made up these skins & in P.M. hunted off to the W. Found a big Prairie Dog town, all C. ludovicianus. killed one. They were on ground higher than town.

A pleasant day, not hot.

" [[ditto for: July]] 12 Caught nothing but a Thomomys & only killed a Flycatcher

Skinned these & a Prairie Dog. Loaded shells, cleaned gun & packed a small box of skins. 

A poor days work.
