Gentlemen:

These few lines are to thank you for your telegram inviting me to see your painting in Zurich.

I am indeed sorry that, due to my return to the States on this coming Friday, I shall not be able to return to Zurich where I was a little while ago. I had understood from my firm in New York that you would stop by to see me in Paris on your way back from the States which took place a couple of weeks ago I gather.

Should you still have the painting later this fall and should I be returning to Europe as may be the case, I will be glad to drop in on you.

Yours very sincerely,
Germain Seligman
