[[blank page]] [[end page]] [[start page]] Nov. 1. Cold in morning. Made up a few bird skins & then hunted & set taps. Killed a few birds & skinned them. A not very profitable day. " [[ditto for: Nov.]] 2 Caught 2 Dipodomys deserti (?) & 2 Small Dipodomys like ag[[strikethrough]] e [[/strikethrough]]ilis [[agilis]] , & 7 Perognathus of two species, a large & small kind, & a Skunk with white stripe on each side & long tail. The big Perognathus & Skunk are species new to me & the small Dipodomys may be. Shot a Polyborus cheriway, which is a bird new to me, saw 2 more, the one killed had a string ^[[insertion]] tied [[/insertion]] around its leg. Made up the 12 mammal skins & went to traps & baited them in evening. Found 2 Campohyrhynchus in my traps, nothing else. There seem to be no Chipmunks or Spermophiles. Saw a big tree lizzard in town but didn't dare shoot it. Saw 2 big Jack Rabbits & a Cottontail but did not get any of them. Lost two traps, by dogs I think. A cold night but pleasant day.

Added [[agilis]] to help text searching. Edited insertion markup to make consistent with other pages. -@siobhanleachman
