Julius Bohler ALTE GERMALDE-ANTIQUEITATEN Muchen/Briennerstr. 25 12th July 1963 Mr. Germain Seligman 5 East 57th Street New York 22, N.R. USA Dear Mr. Seligman, I presume that you are back in New York now, and am sending you photographs of a marble sculpture which we could acquire recently. I thought that it might interest you. It is of quite extraordinary quality and represents probably a Nikodemus from a Deposition or Lamentation group. The ornaments have once been gilt, and there are still traces of this visible. It is obviously a French work of the middle of the 15th century. The height is 50 cm and the price DM 35.000,-. In case this figure does not interest you, I should be grateful if you would return the photographs. With kindest regards, Yours very sincerely, ^[[handwritten signature Julius Bohler]] encl.: 2 photos ^[[handwritten]] cc. g.s. - West on 7-22-63 (he saw it when it arrived) [[handwritten]] TELEFON: 551529 - TELEGRAMM-ADR.: PAINTGINS MUNCHEN BANKKONTO - DRESDNER BANK MUNCHEN - POSTSCHECKKONTO - MUNCHEN 16773
