July 30 Went up cañon again. Killed a lot of Chipmunks, Dutcher found a Porcupine & a Neotoma, 
Had a lot of skins to make up in P.M. and did not get all done before dark. Have a shady place for camp & do not put up any tents. 
Found a Bear skull. 

" [[Ditto for: July]] 31 Did'nt go up cañon far, killed some Chipmunks & caught an Arvicola longecaudus & shot a Badger. Streator caught an other kind of Arvicola & 4 Thomomys. 
Made up skins in P.M. and wrote on my report. 
A cold morning but warm & pleasant day. 
Dutcher is having a spell of diarrhea & feels weak in the middle.
