[[underline]] Nov. 12 [[/underline]] - Caught a Thomomys & an Arvicola & an Onychomys & a little Perognathus & 8 Tamias pictus.
Went to traps early but it was so cold I could not sit down to skin things before 9 it was so cold. Ice held me without cracking.
It must have been nearly down to 0 -
Worked as skins all the rest of day till dark but did not get them done -
It is too cold to work evenings except close by a big fire. It is warm & nice from about 10 till nearly sundown -

[[underline]] Nov. 13 [[/underline]] - Caught a Dipodops & an Onychomys & a lot of Tamias. Did not have many traps out & took them up.
Finished up the skins from yesterdays work & these of today. Packed barometer to send back for repairs, wrote letter & did a few such small jobs. Will go to P.O early in morning & if I get mail will move south as far as we can. It is getting too cold up here. There seems to be nothing more here that I can catch but what I have a fair lot of -
Cold morning & warm part of the day.
There are several old indian wickiups near our camp - In one are 6 or 8 old Badger skins & some of the twisted Rabbits skin rope, same as I saw among the Mojoves.
