[[underline]] Nov. 20 [[/underline]] I caught a Lepus sylvaticus, a Tamias leucurus, 4 Tamias pictus, 2 Onychomys, 2 Perognathus, a lot of Hesperomes, and 5 Evotomys ^ [[insertion]] and [[/insertion]] A little [[insertion]] a Sorex [[/insertion]] Perognathus & an Onychomys were eaten up in the traps. Henery caught 3 Evotomys a Thomomys, 3 Tamias pictus & a lot of Hesperomes. There were 8 skins to stuff from yesterdays work. After finishing these, I began on todays pile -Threw away some, measured & catalogues 28 &, with some help from Henry, skinned them all & stuffed 9 of them. This kept me busy in the tent from 9 oclock till after dark, & I did not go to my traps again.
The brush along the creek seems to be full of Evotomys & Hesperomes. The Sorex is different from any I have seen, has a very short tail & is glossy black on its back.
When I can get time to set traps again will try & catch more of them.
Warmed than usual, but cold again in evening.
