[[underline]] Nov. 27. [[/underline]] Caught 2 Dipodops, another Arvicola pallidus, 2 Evotomys (both spoiled), & 15 Hesperomes.
Took up traps, packed up & started on at 8 A.M. Went 5 miles up the valley & camped at a spring in Indian Creek Valley about 2 miles above the Junction of Indian Creek & Reese River - It is probably 5 miles to the divide.
At our last camp we left the valley & from there it is only a narrow strip along the creek, rarely 80 rods wide between the PiƱon & Cedar covered hills. Indian Creek is only a small stream from several springs & is dry up about 2 miles from its junction. The mountains are all of red lava rock Are not very high near Indian Creek, but the other side of Reese River is the big peak
