[[underlined]] Jan. 14. [[/underlined]] Caught a Thomomys, a Tamias leucurus, a Hesperomys eremicus, & 5 Dipodomes. Nelson got a lot of Dipodomes & Hesperomes, a Neotoma & a beautiful Perognathus.  Made up the skins & set a lot of traps - Nelson, Palmer, & I have 126 traps set.
39[[degree symbol]] at 8 A.M. a few clouds in P.M.

[[underlined]] Jan. 15 [[/underlined]], Caught 2 Vulpes macrotis and some small things. Made up skins and set traps.
A cool morning - 27[[degree symbol]] at sunrise.

[[underlined]] Jan. 16 [[/underlined]] Mr. Coville & Fimston  & I went [[strikethrough]] up [[/strikethrough]] to top of Browns Peak. Found it a hard days climb. Yucca brevifolia grows over the summit but no timber - Dikeman was on the peak too, reading barometer.
There were no signs of Chilotus or any mammal that I want on the mountain - There were Thomomes hills, Neotoma nests, Hesperomys holes and Rabbit dungs on the top. I saw a small flock of Callipepla
