Saw some new ones. Snow is from 4 to 12 inches deep along the trail high up. It is frozen hard & I could find no tracks on it. Saw a larger Pine growing on top of the range, It appears at a distance to be a P. flexilis. Barometer at place where I slept, at 5 A.M., 6950 on divide at 10 A.M., 10410, at Panamint 11 A.M., 8500. Mr. Nelson read thermometer at Bennetts Wells yesterday & today.
