Caught a Hesperomys sonoriensis, [[strikethrough]] 2 H. [[/strikethrough]] a big eared Hesperomys, a Thomomys, a Tamias leucurus, a Perognathus, & 2 other Perognathes were eaten in traps.
Was in a hurry all day & did not stop to kill birds.  Saw some new ones.
Snow is from 4 to 12 inches deep along the trail high up.  It is frozen hard & I could find no tracks on it.  Saw a larger Pine growing on top of the range, It appears at a distance to be a P. flexilis.
Barometer at place where I slept, at 5 A.M., 6950 on divide at 10 A.M., 10410, at Panamint 11 A.M., 8500.
