[[underlined]] March 11 [[/underlined]], Caught 2 Thomomes, a Tamias leucurus, 3 Hesperomes, 3 Perognathus, 2 Ochetodons, 1 Onychomys, & shot a Jack Rabbit. Caught a Mus musculus in house. Made up skins & reset traps.
Warm & pleasant, things growing.

[[underlined]] March 12 [[/underlined]], Caught 2 Perognothes, an Onychomys, an Ochetodon, a Hesperomys sonorensis.
2 Thomomes, 3 Tamias leucurus, & bought a Badger of an Indian.
Made up the skins
A warm, pleasant day, Cottonwoods are in blossom. Nelson & Coville did not get back from the Colorado River.

[[underlined]] March 13 [[/underlined]], Caught a lot of things & made up skins. Nelson & Coville came about 10 oclock & helped Nelson do up his specimens. He had a fine lot from the Colorado river. This connects our work with my old routes through Utah & Arizona. 
It is only 50 miles over onto the Muddy Creek where I was 2 years ago & it seems to be all open, low country between here & there.
