Nyanza (Urundi) - Think this might be Burundi. Many provinces in Burundi with a "Nyanza". See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruanda-Urundi. Shantz' 1920 diary (held in Smithsonian collection) may confirm this. This seems confirmed by this description of the Shantz collection at the Univ. of Arizona (https://goo.gl/Qjt7Zs), which describes Nyanza as being in Burundi on the edge of Lake Tanganyika. The city of Nyanza, Burundi is in the Makamba district, on the coast of Lake Tanganyika. -@mnathan
