Germain Seligmann, Esq.
3 East 51st Street
New York City

Dear Mr. Seligmann:

I am so sorry that the exhibition of Maquettes is off the schedule for the next year but I hope that you will be able to arrange it for another time for, though it would be the most tremendous amount of work, it would be interesting to do.

Mrs. William Coe came into see me today and asked me to get in touch with you in regard to a French painting she bought from you through us, I think, in 1926. She is moving to another apartment and the painting, she tells me, will be much too large. She says that she would like me to remind you that you had told her at the time that you would exchange it, at any time, for her. She would like to drop in some day to see what there was that might tempt her but was not willing to do so until I had communicated with you and had your answer.

Very sincerely yours,
