May 28th., 1946. Dear Colin: Very many thanks for your letter of May 24th. In fact since writing to you I have received news from Paris which compels me to hop over, but as I will only be there ten days on some urgent matters, I will not be able to go over to London, as much as I may wish to, as I have to return to the United States to be married!!! Herein I am enclosing a photograph of the Rommey "Port. of Capt. Milnes". Should this not be enough to remind you of it, we can then always consider sending it over. On the other hand, you can send me a photograph of the little Greuze boy, and by same token, let me know what figure you have put on it. Among Italian paintings, I am wondering whether you have a very important PALMA VECCHIO. This answers a specific demand, and should you know of one, could you tell me whether that particular painting is already known here in the States. I personally would be more interested in an important Primitive. As regards the Van der WEUDEN, I have postponed seeing Mr. Schiff and do not expect to do so now before late September. By then let us hope you may have some good news to communicate. It is always a pleasure indeed, to hear from you, and with best regards, Sincerely yours, (Germain Seligman) Mr. Colin Agnew, Thos.
