of the exhibition series.  This work has been completed so far as it is possible to complete it with the temporary cases now in use.  As a necessary preliminary, the shelving of 25 cases was entirely rebuilt, which work necessitated considerable delay in putting the collection in order.
    
[[underlined]] Unpacking and determining of Mexican [[/underlined]] exhibit. - A very interesting collection of beautifully mounted birds from the States of Puebla and Vera Cruz, Mexico, which had been on exhibition in the Mexican department at the New Orleans Exposition, was received during September, unpacked, arranged, and the names of the species written on the under side of the stands.  This collection, comprising about 450 specimens and [[blank]] species, is in charge of Professor Fernando Ferrari-Perez, Naturalist of the Mexican Geographical Exploring Commission, and President of the State University of Puebla de Zaragosa, who is preparing a catalogue of it for publication in the "Proceedings"
