[This paper includes a list of the birds exhibited by the Commission at the New Orleans Exposition, the species being determined by the Curator of the Department of Birds of the U.S. National Museum, who has also furnished all the technical matter, except references, pertaining to the species contained in the collection, including ^[[full]] descriptions of 5 new species, as follows: (1) [[underline]] Amphispiza ferrari-perez [[/underline]]; (2) [[underline]] Pipilo complexus [[/underline]]; (3) [[underline]] Pipilo submaculatus; [[/underline]] (4) [[underline]] Philortyx personatus [[/underline]], and (5) [[underline]] Anas diazi [[/underline]]. ]

Mr. Marshall has transferred to new walnut stands 104 mounted specimens, mounted 1 specimen, and repaired many others, his work involving the assorting and fitting of the stands themselves, and much other work of similar character.
