A valuable collection, including, among other interesting specimens, two examples of the recently discovered [[underlined]] Plectrophenax hyperborean [[/underlined]], obtained on their breeding ground (Hall I., Bering Sea)! and a species of Sandpiper ([[underlined]] Tringa damascensis [[/underlined]]) new to North America.

[[underlined]] The Mexican Geographical and Exploring Commission [[/underlined]], through Prof F. Ferrari-Perez. - 40 specimens, 36 species, chiefly from the State of Vera Cruz, Mexico. Includes several plumages new to the National Museum collection.

The number of entries on the oological catalogue during December is 26 (museum register nos. 22495-22520), including 21 species, 56 eggs, and 5 nests. The only important accession was an egg of the Black-backed Three-toed Woodpecker ([[underlined]] Picoides arcticus [[/underlined]]) from R. McFarlane.
