The more important accessions received during the year are the following:

[[underlined]] Anastasio Alfaro [[/underlined]], San José, Costa Rica. - The type specimen of [[underlined]] Porzana alfari [[/underlined]], recently described by Mr. Ridgway. (Gift).

[[underlined]] Wm C. Avery [[/underlined]], Greensboro, Ala. - 3 specimens of [[underlined]] Peucara bachmani [[/underlined]] from Greensboro. (Gift).

[[underlined]] Edward Bartlett [[/underlined]], Maidstone, Kent, England. - 59 specimens, 48 species, nearly all from the Old World, especially Australia, a few new to the collection. (Exchange).
