I have the honor to submit herewith a report on work done during the month of April, 1889, in the Department of Birds of the National Museum.

[[underlined]]Accessions[[/underlined]]

The number of entries in the bird catalogue made during April is 42 (Museum register nos. 116309-116350, inclusive), the principal accessions being as follows:-

[[underlined]]Museum of Oberlin College[[/underlined]], Oberlin Ohio (through L. M. McCormick), 16 specimens, same number of species, chiefly from Africa, and nearly all new to the collection. (Exchange.)
