he has before leaving California, communicated the plan to the Company's Head Quarters.  Meanwhile, I ignore entirely whether there has been any action in the matter and am obliged, much to my regret, to postpone different arrangements, which could be terminated here at once, had I the required means. 

I respectfully call the Company's attention to one circumstance:  We are not in a blessed country, where any kind of work can be done all the year round.  Here, we must avail ourselves of certain seasons to do certain parts of our work and the loss of one month frequently involves the loss of a whole year.
