I have the intention to send a party of men to the mouth of the Anadyr as soon as the river becomes navigable. They will have plenty of occupation until the arrival of supplies, should you detail a vessel to those regions next summer. Should you have no vessels to spare this year, the party after a thorough exploration of the river and having finished the work, which I will direct them to do, will come back to Anadyrsk in Autumn before the ice forming.

I want to make a distribution of men and materials all along the Okhotsk Sea coast in places selected. Then I intend to pay a visit to Nikolaersk, a visit, which becomes indispensable on account of the necessity of an interview with Admiral Turnhelm and other authorities.
