adapted for the purpose required of her and it is hoped that the Government will supply her place with another vessel. The vessels comprising the Company's fleet have performed a large amount of work during the season of which the following is a summary.

[[margin]] "Clara Bell" [[/margin]]     The Bark "Clara Bell" was dispatched early in May with a cargo of coal, brackets and insulators for Petropavlovski for orders from Major Abasa. Pursuant to orders received she went to Ghijigha, Yamsk and Okhotsk in the Okhotsk Sea distributing her cargo at various points. She carried with her four passengers who reported to Major Abasa for duty.

[[margin]] "Palmetto" [[/margin]]     The Bark Palmetto left for Petropavlovski early in June, whence, pursuant to orders, she went to Ghijigha, where she landed her cargo consisting of coal, provisions and stores together with twelve passengers. Of provisions she carried 30,000 Rations.

[[margin]] "Onward" [[/margin]]     The Bark "Onward" proceeding first to Victoria and there taking on wine from the Ship "Mohawk" sailed for Ghijigha via Petropavlovski. Delayed at Victoria also by calms and contrary winds she did not arrive at this point until it was too late in the season to venture into the Okhotsk Sea   She therefore landed her cargo of Wine, Telegraph Material and Stoves together with fourteen passengers at Petropavlovski
