We went to the Wright and by request of Col. Bulkley I accompanied him to Plover Bay the rendevous of vessels destined for the North Pacific to receive material and supplies for  this district.
   
The Golden Gate, which was intended for the Anadys did not arrive until two weeks after we entered Plover Bay, and almost as much more time was consumed before she was in readiness to sail so that it was Aug 31/Sept 12 before we left: taking the small steamer Wade in tow.  The Wade is a small stern wheeled flat bottomed steamer 60 feet long, intended for the navigation of the Anadyr. Before leaving Plover Bay she was completed with the exception of erecting the smoke stacks and building the wheel the latter of which was completed before reaching the Anadyr, by taking advantage of Calms.
   
On Sept 7/19th we entered the Northern Bay which was afterwards called Golden Gate Bay
