With out in the least desiring to reflect upon Dr. Stimpson, whose time I know, is much occupied, I cannot but mention that in the matter of notifying persons of their election as members, and of the receipt of donations, (which might be done rapidly and cheaply by means of a few blanks) there has been unreasonable delay. Capt. Scammon and Col. Bulkley who were elected Corresponding Members last November, have not yet been notified. These apparently trivial things are of the highest importance in preserving the [[underlined]]morale [/underlined]] of an institution and in making it what we all wish the Academy to be.
