Hyde has had his resignation sent to him and F.N. Wicker, an army officer in the fullest sense of the word has taken his place. Scammon has had some hard fights to make, Davison & Glover are recalled to the Revenue Service. He has been very kind to me in everything and curiously enough, has selected me as his confidant in all his troubles and also in regard to the general plans of the Ex. This has given me an immense advantage, although Scammons hasty judgement is not always to be relied on in regard to outsiders.
