course all is well, and I stay with him.  If he goes down and they allow him all due credit, and he is satisfied I would stay there all winter & use up the good outfit, which has been obtained, and come down next season for good. I would work like a horse if I got any kind of a show. If not, in any case I stick by Bob if I leave the service, instanter. If we do come down then there will be a big row in Jerusalem.  Mumford got out so late as to prevent it this spring, but there is bound to be one at the best, when we get back about last winter's extravagancies and follies. Mumford is all right with the Sci.Corps I think. He spoke very kindly to me the day we left.  I had just had a row with Wicker, the only one which I ever had with anyone in the service.
     
The collections have all been made of course in this Bay and on the way up. They are not as large as I wish they were but comprise about 2500 specimens. The best
