Redoubt St. Michaels

Sir,
I have the honor to submit the following report of operations after your departure from Nulats.
After considerable difficulty, I succeeded in getting the Bidoc and Bidarra, brought to Nulato.
With the assistance of Messrs. Whyumper, Dall and Pickett, I put up one mile of poles, running from Nulato to Fort Kennicott, the Bidarjik of Nulato, refused to allow Passpill-Koff to work on our house, until his, the Bidarjik's return from Nudu-ky-aite.  The house is nearly completed.

May 26th.  I left Nulato in a three holed Bidoc, accompanied by a half breed Russian and an Indian boy, for my Explorations in and around the Kirch-pak or Youken mouths, the same day Messrs Whymper and Dall in a Bidarra with 3 Indians started for Fort Youken.  The 4th day from Nulato I arrived at the coal seam,
