mouths that empty from the Youkow into the Sea. The principle of these and also the most practicable are the Corsilvac, or southern mouth, the Ouski Koichpak or middle mouth and the Aphoun or northern mouth, the balance are of scarcely any importance hardly being used by the Indians.

The current of the Koichpak will average 5 and 6 miles, the banks are low, very few mountains along the river, after leaving the Russian Post Andraoffsky, there are no mountains until near the Redoubt.

Dry fish are very numerous all along the mouths. I told the Indians to secure all they could, and that I would return for them, but of course it is now useless, the Company having suspended operations.

As good luck would have it Millevanoff, Bidarjik of the mission, has not secured one single thing for us, so that will save the Company something, I have explained matters to him.

Hoping that this may meet with your approbation.

I remain, Sir,
Yours very respectfully
