During the past Season there have been four deaths among the Employees of the company as far as Known only one, case of which was under my immediate charge 
The deaths were as follows
1st Major R. Kennicott, Chief of  Soulton division who died from organic disease of the heart
2nd B. F. Legare, Constructor; who died on board the       Ship Nightingale July the 14th from Congestion of the brain.
3th George O Callaghan, Constructor who died on Board the Bark H. L. Rutgers Set. 14th from Congestion of the brain
4th Hugh Evans, Seaman, who died on board the Bar Onward at Petropaulske from Asthma Oct. 5th 1866

The general health of the Land Service in the field has been reported as good. There has been however during the Season an unusually large amount of sickness among the passengers and crews of the different Vessels. On board ship Nightingale the passengers and crew numbered Some 120 of whom more than four fifths came
