1088 [[underlined]] Lagopus albus [[/underlined]] [[male symbol]] 100m N.W. of Youkon. Iris dull light brown Bill horn color. Nails white, with black bases. Supercilliary space deep bright orange red. Length of supercilliary space one inch, width one half inch, width of free upper portion of membrane 1/4 inch. A [[female symbol]] shot with this, was still entirely white, (this had brown head.) K

1096 [[underlined]] Pediocetes phasianellus [[/underlined]] 31624. [[male symbol]] Ft.Youkon May 4. Iris light hazel Supercilliary space bright lemon yellow, its whole surface covered with small papillae about 0.1 inch long, upper edge extending into a free process deeply fringed or indented. (The above note applies also to seven following specimens). K
