[[Q written over right side of each paragraph]] 747 [[underlined]] Tringoides macularius [[/underlined]] [[female symbol]] & 4 eggs. Iris light brown, bill brownish yellow, with black. Legs & feet very light olive. Nest in an open place in the woods on a stony side hill 5 rods from the lake. The nest a depression in the leaves & thickly lined with dry leaves & grass. Bird very shy tho incubation had commenced. I shot her as she flew from the nest. Ft. Res. June 24. K 748 [[underlined]] Zonotrichia gambellii [[/underlined]] Ft Resolution, June 24. Iris light brown - sings precisely like [[underlined]] Z leucophrys [[/underlined]] as near as I can remember the note of that species. K
