Pinus ponderosa & Pseudotsuga are the principal trees. They are large & clean & thrifty. Larix occidentalis & Abies lasiocarpa & Cercocarpus ledifolius & Pershia tridentata grow on rocky south slopes to the top. Ceanothus velutinus is common from below camp to the summit.

Only the north slopes appear to be true Boreal Zone. Most of the mt. range lies in Transition.

Several misspellings but transcribed as written: "Pershia tridentata" should be Purshia, "Microtis" should be Microtus, and "Promyscus" should be Peromyscus.
