Naylox. Klamath Basin

chipmunks in the chaparral on the hills above Klamath Falls but as it had rained nearly all the forenoon and was increasing in violence was obliged to give it up. Heard one Tamias townsendi however in the chap[[strikethrough]]p[[/strikethrough]]arral while we were having lunch. 

Got to Klamath Falls shortly afternoon and after getting mail and provisions went on down the Valley about 10 miles and camped on Lost River.

Sept. 20. Put out many traps for Perognathus Microtus etc. Got two microtus almost immediately after setting traps and on completing the line went back and took out 4 more. Set a few steel traps also and saw some very small rabbit tracks which may be [[underlined]] L. idahoensis [[/underlined]]

Sept 21.
Did not have much success but put out more traps for Perognathus etc. Got a sage chipmunk.
