vicinity were taken to extend the area of a mosaic previously made.

On October 17, dismantling of the Wedj base and packing of the equipment was completed, and the personnel of the Unit moved to Yenbo. Because the stay in Yenbo was expected to be short, only the radio equipment and the aerial camera were taken to Yenbo. The rest of the equipment was sent by steamship to Jeddah.

In Yenbo, we were unable to get permission to use the radio inside the city walls, so had to erect a tent on the flying field in which the radio station was housed. This was fairly satisfactory for the short time that we operated out of Yenbo.

Most of the area between Um Lej and Yenbo and eastward to Medina was explored out of Yenbo. However, an area shown on the general map surrounding Yenbo had been previously investigated by ground parties therefore no systematic search was made in this area, although a number of flights were made across it in going to and coming from other work areas.
