20th Feb

Flew AT-6 Bolling to LG - Only one command receiver (old type) - Fixed loop R/C. No D/F - no other means for modern instmt flying - Actual flight instmts worked OK - [[Xnitr?]] appeared to have range of only 10 to 15 miles.

When arrived at LG - area in K. vis 1 to 3 min. - 4 to 6 a/c circling on top. I was delayed approx 40 min in landing. No effort being made for orderly approach control. Instructions were " Let down SE of the field , then come in CFR".

Visited LG tower. Boys were very nice but did not contribute anything. Note to controller from CAA said that localyer [[underline]] must [[/underline]] be turned [[underline]] off [[/underline]]during instrument cox.

Visited Air Traffic Control. - Personnel nice there but did not add anything. Noticed that Army Advisory Service appeared almost to duplicate the ATC.

[[strikethrough]] Last check on wx [[/strikethrough]]
Visited Mr. Littlewood and Mr. Ayre of American. Their attitude was that the ANTC has [[strikethrough]] no [[/strikethrough]] had practically no meetings - that they have not had any suggestions or requests. They are ready to appoint a sub-committee and go to work as soon as we give them the go ahead-

Last check on wx showed bad throughout east + middle west.
