[[strikethrough]]Flev]] Talked to HKM - Gave him outline of activities of the committee. He is concerned about slowness of subcommittee activities.

Talked with Hovey about inventing. He suggests I provide enough direction to guide a local engineer and let him invent necessary gadgets. I would then get paid in proportion to the work I put in.

Landed at La Junta to let off the WAVE on emergency furlough.

Arrived Col. [Spango?] in late afternoon. Went to [Antlers?] and then went to Manitou. Looked pretty dreary, but I was filled with nostalgia. Located houses in Col. City where we lived - 1815 Hayes Ave (now [[?Cuchensas]]) 202 South 18th St - 1617 Colo. Ave. etc.
In Manitou located rock on which I used to sit by [[?Ruxton]] Creek - Vacant lot - where stand used to be - Everything dismal, tattered & torn. - Manitou is a ghost town, almost.

Early to bed.
