Notes on "Pilots' Operations Committee"

1. Letter to all pilots from Collings or Richter outlining purpose and organization of the Committee.

Recognizes (1) abilities and skills among pilots other than flying (2)broadened view a/c military service (3) point of view of pilots who are doing the job is better than "desk-eye-view" (4)improved operations will result in [[strikethough]] better t [[/strikethrough]] advantages to both pilots and company. (5) [[^better]] channel of communication needed for transmitting pilots' suggestions to company and informing pilots of [[^company]] plans.

(2)All company records open to Committee- all depts will aid + advise Comm.

(4) No overlapping with ALPA.
(5) Not handle controversies between pilots and company
