[[underlined]] A Training Aids Unit [[/underlined]] of Wing was established at Gaya. First section of this unit was to order appropriate projection equipment and other training aids for all stations of the Wing. A small Wing film exchange was established for purpose of circulating training films to the stations. First film to be circulated was the Walt Disney AAF Training Film " Thunderstorms." A photographer from the 10th Combat Camera Unit has been placed on temporary duty with the school for assistance in production of visual training aids. 7. [[underlined]] Miscellaneous Activities [[/underlined]] included the following: a. [[underlined]] The Instrument landing system [[/underlined]] at Chabua was flown by the undersigned. It is believed that procedures should be developed for using this system as a [[underlined]] low-approach [[/underlined]] but not for instrument landings. It should only be taught to pilots after they are thoroughly qualified in general instrument flying. b. [[underlined]] Accident Data [[/underlined]] on which to base recommendations for further training are being collected from the statistics and reports available in Delhi. c. [[underlined]] Standard Technical Procedures [[/underlined]] have been coordinated and approved in principle with most of the Wing staff. Specific procedures are being coordinated and approved for publication. d. [[underlined]] Job Instructor Training [[/underlined]], a set course of instruction in how to do training ( how to teach a man to do a job ) was given to forty-three (43) persons. e. [[underlined]] Ground Instructor's Conference [[/underlined]] was held at Misamari. The nine (9) members of this conference were trained in instructional methods and familiarized with the C-46 in order to prepare them to teach the aircraft familiarization course to the pilots of Eastern Sector. f. [[underlined]] Passengers [[/underlined]] and [[underlined]] Freight [[/underlined]] to the extent of approximately 15,000 ton miles cargo and 12,000 passenger miles ^[[of]] [[strikethrough]] P [[/strikethrough]] personnel have been transported by the Wing Training Section incidentally to routine training and administrative flights. -3- [[strikethrough]] [[stamped]] CONFIDENTIAL [[/stamped]] [[/strikethrough]]
